This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. That's how much this book is insane, it makes dolls be forever terrifying and I will honestly live a happy life if I never see one again. The secondary characters are of course in the background, but also giving more depth to the main character. Ghost stories are my weakness. Something's going on, and help comes from an unexpected quarter.

Alender kept the balance just right for a reader like me. At points, I got irritated just reading it, but I did finish it and the basic structure of the story is good. The writing is good, simple, and what saved it from a lower rating is that it's a fast read that wraps up quickly and nicely.

This book was fast paced, and kept me hooked from page one! He exists only for Alexis. Then for hours to no end we tried to get those markers off of her, but nothing worked. Thankfully, it doesn't read as a hopeful script for a movie. Extraordinary in that sense of way. As for her father, they aren't exactly close, but he could be worse.
